De idolatria magica dissertatio
No prior complete English translation of this text has been found.
Extensive searches across multiple scholarly catalogs (including UNESCO Index Translationum, Open Library, Internet Archive, and OpenAlex) yielded no evidence of any English translation of Jean Filesac's 1609 work. Filesac is a niche early 17th-century author, and his works remain largely untranslated in modern academic literature. Given the lack of any records for a translation, it is highly probable that this is a first English translation.

Step into the intellectual battlefield of 1609 Paris with Jean Filesac’s searing indictment of the occult. This dissertation explores the chilling proposition that magic is not a mere craft, but a direct form of idolatry orchestrated by the 'Ape of God' to usurp the divine.
