Magia philosophica. 320 oracula Chaldaica. Asclepius. Poemander. Sermo sacer. Clavis. Sermo ad filium. Sermo ad Asclepium. Minerva mundi & alia miscellanea
Patrizi, Francesco|Zoroaster|Hermes Trismegistus
Only partial translations or excerpts exist. This is the first complete English translation.
Francesco Patrizi's 1593 'Nova de universis philosophia', which contains his 'Philosophia Hermetica' (a collection of the Chaldaean Oracles and the Corpus Hermeticum with his own prefaces and commentary), has not been translated into English as a complete, unified work. While the individual texts (the Oracles and the Hermetica) have been translated many times by scholars like Majercik and Copenhaver, Patrizi's specific editorial arrangement, his unique Latin prefaces, and his critical apparatus remain untranslated. Therefore, this is a first complete translation of the specific 1593 volume.
