No prior complete English translation of this text has been found.
The 1577 edition contains Marsilio Ficino's influential Latin translations of Iamblichus, Proclus, Porphyry, Psellus, and Hermes Trismegistus. While the original Greek texts of these works have been translated into English multiple times (notably by Thomas Taylor in 1821 and by Clarke, Dillon, and Hershbell in 2003), Ficino's specific Latin rendering has never been translated into English. As the source text for this edition is the Latin version, and no English translation of this Latin text exists, it is a first English translation.
